League Rules follow those set forth by the USGA and the R&A. All Local course rules apply.
Some "Modifications" Intended for Pace of Play , Safety, and Just overall Fairness:
1. If a Ball is deemed lost or out of bounds, the player shall take penalty stroke and distance from the best point of relief. Example: You walk up to the fence on Rancho and identify your tee shot has landed across the fence out of bounds. USGA rules state you should go back to the point of the last shot and re-tee, however, in SWGL you should drop 2 club lengths from where it entered and you would be hitting 4.
2. Desert foliage areas within the course bounds on AVCC should be considered a hazard, and not a lost ball or OB. Take a one shot penalty and play on.
3. To simplify the equitable stroke control rules, The max score on any hole shall be an 8.
4. Water that is not marked on the course layout, e.g. pounds created from overwatering in the wasteland area at RVCC (between 3 and 5 for example) are not considered hazard. Please take free relief from these.
5. Tree Roots and unkept areas: should you deem hazard to yourself on the downswing due to tree roots or unkept grounds, take the nearest point of relief as to not injure yourself.
